FAQs
Q1 What is it like to study at VALOUR Education?
At VALOUR Education, we pay close attention to the pupil’s abilities and learning pace, thereby guiding them through their studies in ways most suitable for the pupil. We also encourage critical thinking and self-expression, which is cultivated by our interactive teaching approaches in the classroom. We also hold a diverse range of extra-curricular activities for our pupils to slow down and relax while also bonding with one another. The journey of learning is long and tough, but not unconquerable when blessed with encouragement and support.
Q2 My child is in elementary school. Are there any suitable programmes for them?
Yes, there is! PROJECT GEMSTONE is a programme provided exclusively by VALOUR Education designed for students between elementary school and high school. It combines a diverse curriculum with project-based learning approaches to cultivate knowledge organisation, teamwork, as well as self-reflection abilities. We encourage learners to discover as much as possible, eventually becoming the brightest of all gems.
Q3 How are classes scheduled?
At VALOUR Education, we place great importance on the individual growth of our pupils. Our counsellors will schedule their classes and progress based on the individual pupil’s abilities and needs. Progress is kept track of via one-on-one sessions held once every two months, where learning progress and results are analysed, thereby formulating a learning plan most suitable for the pupil.
Are classes conducted in English?
Our main medium of instruction is English. We want our pupils to be capable of using English regularly and naturally as a means of learning and communication. In addition, to avoid leaving out pupils with weaker English skills, our counsellors will also use Chinese to some extent based on the pupil’s abilities and needs.
Q5 How many pupils are there in each class?
We have a smaller class size of 1-4 pupils per class. We insist that quality matters more over quantity, and we want to make sure that every pupil is given adequate care, attention, and opportunity.
Q6 Do your courses follow the school curriculum?
Tailored for international school students from Taiwan and beyond, our International Curriculum is designed to complement the curricula of international schools. We also pay utmost attention to establishing healthy communication between our pupils and our counsellors, so as to customise our courses and approaches based on our pupils’ individual capabilities, thus ensuring a thorough GPA improvement in the most efficient way possible.
