Q1 What are the features of VALOUR’s courses?
We value the personal characteristics and learning pace of our students, guiding them to internalize and absorb knowledge. We adopt an ‘interactive teaching’ approach to cultivate independent thinking and self-expression. VALOUR also regularly organizes a variety of extracurricular activities to help students achieve a balance amidst the pressures of heavy academic workload, and to become a part of the VALOUR community—a source of mutual encouragement and support on their educational journey. It’s also an opportunity to form partnerships for studying abroad, exploring their own futures during their academic endeavors.
Q2 Are there any courses for elementary school students?
VALOUR’s exclusive ‘PROJECT GEMSTONE’ offers elementary to high school students the opportunity to engage in multidisciplinary project-based learning (PBL). It assists them in organizing information, collaborating as a team, and self-reflection, allowing for a deep exploration of their studies. Through this process, they discover confidence and interests, enabling them to shine their brightest!
Q3 How is the course schedule arranged?
VALOUR places great emphasis on the individual development of each student. Educational consultants schedule course content and pace ‘based on the abilities and needs of the student.’ Every two months, ‘one-on-one interviews’ are conducted to analyze classroom performance and assess learning outcomes, which serve as the foundation for planning each stage of the learning process.
Q4 Is the instruction entirely in English?
The primary language of communication used at VALOUR is English. The goal is for students to become comfortable using English, making it a medium for self-expression and learning. To assist students who are unfamiliar with English in adapting to group learning, we will ‘adjust the ratio of Chinese to English according to the students’ needs’
Q5 How many students are there in each class?
VALOUR adopts a ‘1 to 4 person small group class’ teaching system. We insist on controlling the number of students in each class to ensure the quality of the class and the opportunity for each person to speak.
Q6: Can the course content be synchronized with school progress?
VALOUR’s ‘International Curriculum’ is specially tailored for students from Taiwan as well as international schools abroad, providing additional reinforcement in sync with their in-school academic progress. Educational consultants with extensive experience in studying abroad establish good two-way communication with the students and adjust the course content as needed to efficiently and comprehensively enhance their in-school GPA.
Q6 Is it possible to visit the classroom for consultation directly?
To better understand your needs, VALOUR operates on an ‘appointment-only’ basis. If you would like to learn more about our services, you are welcome to join our official LINE account or fill out the consultation form under ‘Book a Consultation’ on our site. A specialist will respond to you and arrange a consultation time.
