International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
The main teaching targets are students aged 16 to 19 years old. The DP course is an internationally recognized 2- year course that encourages students to integrate what they have learned and conduct independent academic research.
It is mainly divided into 6 major subjects and 3 DP core, with at least 150 hours for Standard Level and 240 hours including Higher Level .
The 6 major subjects are divided into :
Group1: Language Acquisition ( Second Language )
Group2: Studies in Language and Literature (Language and Literature Studies ) Group3:Individuals and Societies
Group4: Sciences
Group5: Mathematics
Group6: Arts
The 3 core are divided into :
Theory Of Knowledge,TOK ( Theory of Knowledge )
Extended Essay,EE ( Extended Essay )
Creativity, Activity and Service, CAS (creativity , action and service ) I
t should be noted that students need to choose one subject from each of the 6 subject groups, 3 of which are Higher Level and the other three are Standard Level , and they need to study in 2 years. During the course, you must complete a specific report for each group, as well as a 4,000- word Extended Essay equivalent to a university research paper , a TOK Presentation, and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS). ) . The assessment method consists of two parts: internal assessments (Internal Assessments) and public examinations (External Assessments) held in May and November every year . The maximum score for each subject in the 6 subject groups is 7 points , and the maximum core score is 3 points. 45 Full marks.
